FAR on Cambodia

I have nominated Cambodia for a featured article review here. Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. If substantial concerns are not addressed during the review period, the article will be moved to the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article's featured status. Coordinators' working group

Hi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators.

All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. If your project hasn't formally designated any editors as coordinators, but you are someone who regularly deals with coordination tasks in the project, please feel free to join as well. — Delievered by §hepBot (Disable) on behalf of the WikiProject coordinators' working group at 06:36, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here.

Thanks. — Headbomb {ταλκκοντριβς – WP Physics} 09:42, 15 March, 2009 (UTC)

ASEAN needs cites

ASEAN was listed as a Good Article in March of 2007.

However, currently two sections of the article have been tagged "This section does not cite any references or sources" since May 2008, and another section since September 2008.

We should cite or remove this material. If we don't, we should de-list this article from status as a Good Article. -- 201.37.230.43 (talk) 16:53, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

ancient sources

There's a notice at WT:CHINA about the usage of ancient Chinese sources. Since some articles about ancient South East Asia will use some ancient Chinese sources, this may be of interest to you. See Wikipedia_talk:Did_you_know/TangTalk. 70.29.213.241 (talk) 06:39, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Cats and NA tags on talk pages of categories

About a year ago I tagged some talk pages of categories with class=NA and importance =NA - since then the project template has been tweaked to a default of class=cat and importance=Na - so any one adventurous to tag cats for the project - all you need to do is place WikiProject Southeast Asia on a category talk page and it sorts itself out - cheers SatuSuro 15:22, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi, everyone. We have a DYK event for Buddha's Birthday and Vesak just like events for Christmas or April Fool's day. Many of Asian culture is based on Buddhism, so I think you guys can create/edit interesting Buddhist articles in upcoming five days. Once you create or five fold expand Buddhist related articles (famous temples, monks, movies, literature, paintings, foods, festivals, etc) within 5 days, and then nominate it to the below place. After a review, your article can be featured on the main page. So be hurry if you are interested. :) Thanks.

Thai (language) help

Hi folks, we have a little Thai translation problem at WP:DINO. See Talk:Kinnareemimus for the details. Any help in figuring out the journal/article titles would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Dysmorodrepanis (talk) 14:17, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

GA Reassessment of ASEAN

Hello, I am notifying all relevant projects that ASEAN has been reassessed as part of the GA Sweeps project. I have found the article to not currently meet the GA Criteria. As such I have put it on hold for one week pending edits to improve its quality. My review is here. If anyone has questions please contact me at my talk page. H1nkles (talk) 21:21, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Indrapura

I intend to create a Indrapura entry, from an historical point of view its absence seems bad.

It should be a disambiguation page towards actual contents (Indrapura (stage play), Siak Sri Indrapura) and several cities (and kingdoms) of the past. I mention off-the-cuff the capital of Jayavarman II (stele K.151 etc.), the 18th century kingdom in Sumatra, the capital of Champa in 10th century (at present Tra-Kieu) and the ancient name of the modern Indore in Malwa.

Is there a sufficient consensus? Could someone eventually help me in tracing other references? TIA Riccardo.fabris (talk) 09:38, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Yue Chinese

Yue Chinese, which used to be at Cantonese (linguistics) is having a naming debate as to the appropriate title for the article. Since this language occupies part of what some definitions have as part of South East Asia, I thought you'd like to know. 76.66.196.139 (talk) 10:54, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

Question on regarding inclusion of multiple non-Arabic script names

There is currently a discussion involving, so far, a limited number of editors regarding whether to include multiple names in non-English script in articles about locations in areas where more than one script is in use. Any individuals interested in commenting are encouraged to do so at Wikipedia:Village pump (policy)#Inclusion of names in alternate scripts. Thank you for your attention.
