Delivery

[edit]

I proprose sending the first newsletter to all project participants leaving a message linking to the recepients page. Any thoughts? Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 01:35, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Juliancolton (talk) 01:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jump-start?

[edit]

Obviously this is getting off to a slow start...I have no idea where to begin. Once someone starts it, I'll have no problem, but before then, I don't know what I can do... bob rulz (talk) 09:42, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reorganization

[edit]

It would be best to trim down the ammount of sections in the newsletter, as only a very small ammount of information can be put into some of them. The newsletter page itself needs to be reorganized as it is spread out over several pages. I will go ahead and do this if at least one other editor approves. Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 22:26, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. What about a format similar to the WP:WPTC newsletter format? Juliancolton The storm still blows... 22:28, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I hate to toot my own horn, but I like the format for WP:SEVERE's newsletter. They are similar projects, and I know the format of the Severe quite well, as I created it. Also, if you check your talk page I have left a few suggestions there. Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 22:38, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
By the way I nominated the original newsletter table for speedy deletion since we do not use it. Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 22:41, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Significant storms

[edit]

I started to write the Significant storms section, but then I realized, there were not very many. I can only think of the ice storms that hit the Lower Ohio/Mid Mississippi Valleys, and I'm not sure if they are "Significant" enough. (Where I live, I was afraid the power was going to go out.) Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 16:50, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What time frame are we looking at here. Just the last month? What about that huge snowstorm over the Midwest and Ohio Valley? Or the massive windstorm over Europe? bob rulz (talk) 09:02, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just last month. Southern Illinois SKYWARN (talk) 12:09, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
