Wiki Women in Red - a proposed User Group

[edit]

Having worked for 2 years editing articles for Women In Red, a group of organizers have concluded that sourcing is one of the biggest hurdles in creating articles on women and non-binary genders. Though it is true that a lot of sourcing simply doesn’t exist, it is also true that there are sources, but we have no access to them. As these groups did not typically become subjects for academic study until the 1970s, many of the sources are not on line or are behind paywalls. Failure to include women and non-binary people in the encyclopedia presents a one-dimensional view of society and history. To address those issues, we are forming a new User Group aimed at referencing and support for like-minded groups and would appreciate your input or input from your supporters in our organizational process. Wikipedia's treatment of Women in Sports and the reason half of the population will not donate to you.

[edit]

Your Kallie Humpfries' bio is the perfect example of your pernicious desire to play to your leftist audience, resulting in simply flipping off the other half of your audience. Like many, I make frequent use of Wikipedia and I refuse to donate due to your flagrant censorship. Although I use the site often, I carefully interpret your so-called facts when politics should not be relevant. Humphries page rightly covers her victimization from misogynist coaches, as well as her acceptance of President Trump for his support of biological women in sport. Yet there is no mention of why she's a supporter - his support and advocacy for IVF treatments to encourage child birth, when this is the main reason she speaks about constantly - without DJT, she likely would not have become a mother. THIS IS WHY IF WIKIPEDIA DISAPPEARS, WE DON'T CARE. Stop censoring (actively and benignly) and we'll help keep you alive. ~2026-16216-21 (talk) 21:25, 14 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
