Woodlands North MRT/RTS station (TE1/RTS) is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit and Rapid Transit System terminal station in Woodlands, Singapore, located near to Republic Polytechnic.[1] The station is the terminal of the Thomson–East Coast Line and the Singapore terminus of the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System.[2] It will be the northernmost MRT station in Singapore when it opens in 2019.

This station is one of the only three MRT stations which is not located beside a road median. The other two being Mattar MRT station on the Downtown Line and Hougang MRT station on the North East Line.


This station was first announced on 29 August 2012.[3] Before the station was built, the working names were 'Woodlands North', 'Republic Polytechnic' and 'Admiralty Park'. In the end , Woodlands North was selected in 2014.

On 25 January 2019, transport minister Khaw Boon Wan revealed that the first stage is set to be operational before 25 December 2019.[4]
