Yōko Satomi (里見瑤子 Satomi Yōko?) is a Japanese pink film actress who has also used the name Saki Shiratori (白鳥 さき Shiratori Saki?).[2] Variations on the spelling of her name include 里見瑶子, 里見瑤子, and 里美瑤子.[3] She has appeared in award-winning pink films, and was herself given a "Best Actress" award for her work in this genre in 1999 and 2001.
Life and career[edit]
In 1998 Satomi was given the Best New Actress, Third Place award at the Pink Grand Prix for her role in the Kokuei pink film 人妻と愛人 不倫ハメ覗き.[4][5] The following year, her role in Yutaka Ikejima's Wolf Teacher 3: The Smell of School Uniforms (ザ・痴漢教師3 制服の匂い Za chikan kyōshi 3: seifuku no nioi?) (1999)[6] earned her the Best Actress award at the ceremony.[7] An interview with Satomi was the main feature of the September 1999 issue of P*G magazine, the leading journal covering the pink film genre.[8]
Also in 1999 she appeared (as Saki Shiratori) with male AV-star Chocoball Mukai in Shungo Kaji's mock documentary film, Ekiben, a spoof of the AV industry which was shown at the Berlin International Film Festival.[9][10] In a review of the film the U.S. publication Variety noted that Shiratori's performance as the director's "discovery" was especially good.[10] AllRovi calls it a "funny and oddly poignant film".[11] Satomi won her second Best Actress award for her performance in Mamoru Watanabe's Young Wive's Pleasure Lessons: Enslaved (若妻快楽レッスン 虜 Wakazuma kairaku ressun: toriko?) (2001).[12] Satomi was again the lead feature of P*G magazine in October 2002. This issue devoted a 57-page article to the five-year span of her career up to that time, and included another interview.[13]
