Yanggu County (simplified Chinese: 阳谷县; traditional Chinese: 陽穀縣; pinyin: Yánggǔ Xiàn) is a county of western Shandong province, People's Republic of China, bordering the narrow strip of Henan province to the south. It is administered by Liaocheng City.

The population was 810,000 in 2013.The total area is 1065 km².


Since the place was appointed as Yanggu County in Sui Dynasty (596 AD), it has more than a thousand years history. Qualified with tourism resources such as Chingyang Ridge , the Shizilou, the Haihui temple which is the top temple in northern China, Yanggu county is among the tourist counties of China .Besides, some of the key stories in the classical word literatures such as the Water Margin and the Golden Lotus occured in this very place.


There are Copper deep processing industry, Photoelectric Information industry, and Plastic and Chemical Industry. The key competitive industry of Yanggu county is the copper deep processing industry with leading technology which poessesses over 30 copper and copper product processing enterprises above designated size. These enterprises have the production capacity of an annual output of copper cathode 600,000 tons. Yanggu has more than 50 cable manufacturing enterprises above designated size, with the capacity of outputing wire and cable under 7 broad categories, over 800 sizes, over 21,000 standards, Yanggu becomes the most various and complete cable production base in country. The plastic chemical industry is a traditional superior industry of Yanggu. There are over 30 above designated size plastic chemical enterprises.


Petangue is the most popular sport in Yang Gu County. The county team has won 1 Asian Champion,1 second place in Asia, and 29 national Champions.Yanggu has built the national trainning base of China and hosted the 2013 Confederations Cup.
