Zaku is a horizontal shooter for the Atari Lynx handheld game system. Developed over a six-year period by PenguiNet with the aid of an official Lynx development kit, Zaku was first shown to the public as a playable demo on October 27, 2007 at the Retro-gaming Connexion event in Congis-sur-Thérouanne, France.[1]

The finished game was officially released on October 24, 2009 by North American company Super Fighter Team at the price of $40USD per copy. Zaku was the first new game for the Lynx whose game card has an authentic "curved lip" plastic shell. The game also shipped with a full color cardstock box, and 31 page instruction manual printed in both English and French.[2] The game is 4-megabits (512 kilobytes) in size.
