Images on the Commons[edit]

Pozdrawiam. Halibut 15:20, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project[edit]

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)

Tagging images moved to Commons[edit]

Hi. I have noticed you tagging images that have been moved to Commons by using {{delete}}. However, current policy states that all images moved to Commons cannot be speedily deleted on a language specific wiki. Instead, you will need to use {{ifd}} and then add the image to Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Thanks. RedWolf 03:57, Feb 7, 2005 (UTC)

Duszniki[edit]

Halibutt 09:52, Jun 23, 2005 (UTC)

New user log[edit]

On the English site, it's here: Wikipedia:New_user_log. Don't know about the other languages.

It's a nice place to let people know you've arrived, in case they missed you and didn't leave a welcome message.

Some sites watch for new users more quickly than others. If you'd like to see how much more quickly, look what's happened in less than one day:

Could you consider adding this template to your userpage? It is very helpful in case translators are needed and such.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus Talk 15:25, 9 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Harmon Rabb photo.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Harmon Rabb photo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 22:58, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Atari_logo.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Atari_logo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rockfang (talk) 16:59, 17 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lucas,

Sure I can draw the badge for you, however some questions. Firstly do you want the official version exactly copied in svg or a style I use in my own works, I can do both it is up to you. Secondly it is better (when I finish) that I send you the image to your email and not upload it here on Wiki (in case of copyright issues).

Anyway, I am very willing to do this because I am a big fan of the White Lion Society and have brought stuff from them before, however I have quite a big non-wiki workload at the moment so it might take some time. Sodacan (talk) 13:21, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
