Andorra CF[edit]

I don't think, this club (Andorra CF) belongs to the Category:Expatriated football clubs as it is a Spanish club, playing in Spain. It only shares its name with the country of Andorra but is actually a fair distance away from it. Have fun, EA210269 (talk) 07:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

TERVISEKS[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

thank you very much for your condecoration man!! I feel deeply honoured!!

Could it be possible for you to help me create my own user page, giving me some valuable hints?

I'll catch you later...

Help from a "newbie"[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

New to the place and already asking stuff!!:)

My request is this: There are two articles on same person, PORTUGUESE FOOTBALLER CALADO. In one he is referred to as JOSÉ CALADO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Calado), in the other as JOSÉ ANTÓNIO CALADO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jos%C3%A9_Ant%C3%B3nio_Calado). Could you, after some deliberation, remove one of them please?

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE,

From PORTUGAL, VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 01:06, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've ameneded the request for comment about the user Fasach Nua concerning his editing of 'National Football Team' articles.

I'd invite you to comment as you were involved in this issue.

Created a new 'request for comment' specifically about 'National Football Team' articles for the user Fasach Nua.

"THE TIME"[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

This time i do believe i am leaving WP for good, at least as an editor. Upon entering MATS MAGNUSSON's article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mats_Magnusson), i found that PARARUBBAS, previous to being blocked, also did his poor deeds in this FOOTBALLER's page. I proceeded to correct/improve it, also "dropping a line" in edit summary (and i DO ACKNOWLEDGE sometimes i am not very CIVIL, but only when VANDALS/DISRUPTIVE USERS are at large).

Five minutes later, admin KRAKATOAKATIE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:KrakatoaKatie#Goodbye) proceeded to drop a message on my page, where i was called HYSTERICAL just for using CAPS (also for scolding PARARUBBAS, which he deserved). Hours later, user KARENJC also reprimanded me for telling some user had edited in "VERY POOR ENGLISH". Here is the gist of it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:NothingButAGoodNothing

That is NOT THE WORSE: I was browsing through KRAKATOA's page, thinking she could have replied there (since after her attack i tried to reach her, politely 3 times), i found out she removed my messages, and added "THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT". Account or not, i guess i am stil treated like a vandal, so it's CHEERIO...GOODBYE.

My friend ANTON/BANRAY, thank you very much for your help and teamwork, but i am still leaving, WP has way to many guidelines that maybe i am not all that ready to comply to. I did try my best, and did not "lose it" with anyone that did not deserve it. Deeply moved with your barnstar attribution as well, sincerely.

Have a nice EVERYTHING, from PORTUGAL (will also leave a message to my other WIKIFRIEND, SatoriSon),

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ntvplus.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ntvplus.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PARARUBBAS maybe?[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

I am back, still editing from time to time, although i frequently edit with this old anonymous account (no advantages, considering my edit approach, to be registered).

Just to let you know, although i think you already took (good care) of the matter, that user 92.3.217.16 (see for instance this article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jo%C3%A3o_Tom%C3%A1s) could VERY WELL be PARARUBBAS "in disguise". No external links removed, at least some examples (i have already checked his edit history), but he keeps GLUING SENTENCES!

Always nice to wikisee you, terviseks,

Request for wider input on discussion at WikiProject Tennis[edit]

Hi, there is an extremely long and muddled discussion going on at WP:Tennis about the tournament tables found on tennis player articles (i.e. this type of table), and I'm notifying you as you identified yourself as a member of the project. The dispute is over the "Tournament Name" column, with the options being to either use the "sponsored tournament name" - in other words, the name involving the sponsor, for example Internazionali BNL d'Italia - or the "non-sponsored tournament name" - in other words, Rome Masters. I appreciate that this conversation is very long and convoluted, so a brief summary can be found here, which is also where I request the discussion continues. Thanks, rst20xx (talk) 23:01, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Double Redirects[edit]

Thanks for the head's-up on this, BanRay. My problem really seems to be that I'd neglected to relate to the actual page name that includes the country. At this point I'm using piped links but may reconsider in the future when I have more time to deal with this, likewise the status of any necessary disambiguation between various uses of the name. Have you any further input? I'm open! -- Deborahjay (talk) 13:39, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What's the evidence that this image is free to use and modify for everyone? The copyright notice at the bottom of soccer.ru says "При использовании материалов гиперссылка на www.soccer.ru обязательна", which is not enough for our purposes. MaxSem(Han shot first!) 14:55, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

coming to think of it, it might even not be him, but i found this for you: In CARLOS CARNEIRO's article (Portuguese footballer and, i remind you 99,9999999999999999999999% of this idiot's edits were about Portuguese football) - seen here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Carneiro) - there is a user (nº 92.2.200.217) with the EXACT SAME modus operandi: external links and stuff, OUT!!!

SkyBonTalk\Contributions 18:59, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Help needed, please!![edit]

Hi there ANTON,

I would like to ask you a wiki-favour, man. In TARIBO WEST's article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taribo_West), which i arranged thoroughly, i could not, however, arrange LINK nº2's display, and it looks a bit shabby. Could you please have a look at it? I tried and tried, but cannot see what is lacking so it displays properly.

By the way, you were right about PARARUBBAS (his IP is indeed LARGER-THAN-LIFE, nothing we can do but pick up after his mess, for as long as he wishes. Oh well...). So far, i have counted more than 10 different addresses. If it's not him always, the MODUS OPERANDI surely is.

Thank you very much in advance, have a great weekend,

KUFFOUR - A family affair (?)[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here, long time no see, hope all's fine by you,

I appreciate your continuous well-intended efforts and, with that in mind, take to the subject at hand:

There at (at least) two footballers with the surname KUFFOUR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samuel_Kuffour and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Osei_Kuffour), and one who has not has the same two names as one who is called KUFFOUR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emmanuel_Osei) WHAT A MESS MAN!!!

I quickly explain my reasoning, which may very well be wrong: Since i saw there was one of the players who was related to the most famous (SAMUEL), i knew it could not be the one it was previously stated (E.O. KUFFOUR), because of the birthdates (SAMUEL KUFFOUR: 3-9-76, EMMANUEL OSEI KUFFOUR: 6-4-76), so i automatically assumed it should be EMMANUEL OSEI (23-8-1982).

I tried more than one hour to find internet references, but to no avail. It could very well be none of them are related. If you feel like removing that content, go ahead please, i have absolutely no certainties about the players/persons relation. By the way, you could also have a look at most of SAMUEL KUFFOUR's EXTERNAL LINKS, they are dead.

Thanks for listening, i assure you once again ALL of my inserts were well-intended. From PORTUGAL, a nice weekend,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 02:26, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WIKIBREAK, request[edit]

Hi there my friend ANTON,

I am going on a wikibreak, will return in a few months, the reason being, none other than...an (almost)edit war, and i am growing a bit tired, after that stuff with PARARUBBAS and all...I explain:

There is a "new kid on the block", user 189.72.117.97, and i am pretty sure he is NOT a VANDAL, but was on the verge of clashing with him because of the following: in two articles, SERGIO BUSQUETS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergi_Busquets) and ANTONIO LONGÁS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Long%C3%A1s), he inserted stuff that is, in my view (one among thousands of views at WIKIPEDIA), not correct: INFOBOXES should be as often as possible compressed, so that more storyline content is displayed. In both cases, this user displayed stuff like: PLAYER POSITION - DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER / CENTRE MIDFIELDER, when just MIDFIELDER (with subsequent elaboration in storyline) or, in a case that would appease both parts, DEFENSIVE/CENTRE MIDFIELDER.

In YOUTHCLUBS, the most negative contribution on his part: When it already states that the section is about youth, not senior clubs, to write, for example, FC BARCELONA, suffices, no need for FC BARCELONA YOUTH. In 5 or 6 instances, i reverted it when spotting, he reverted it BACK, even after i left hints on edit summaries (although it could be that he, like PARARUBBAS and others, does not read his talk page or if he does, does not understand the language or does not care). I know that nobody in WIKIPEDIA owns any articles, but i just try to make a good contribution and, since i am SO TIRED of edit wars, will not engage in another (not that PARARUBBAS gave us all any lip in his case, his actions spoke louder), and leave to you, a more experienced user than myself, the decision on what to do in the case of user 189.72.117.97, if anything at all. I repeat i believe he is not a vandal and his intentions are good.

I will also leave him a message saying i will "leave him be" and that i was only trying to help. In my case ANTON, i guess i'll wikisee you next year, mate, take care.

From PORTUGAL, VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 18:39, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request - Part2[edit]

VASCO again ANTON,

On second thought, i opt not to leave that user a message. WHY? I just checked his contribution history, and he has, in about 100 edits......ZERO (!) edit summaries, like PARARUBBAS, and also has a warning on his talk page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:189.72.117.97), regarding the three-revert rule, so i guess he would not pay me any attention in case i did mail him.

That is all, hope i could again be of service, terviseks,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 18:49, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Change of mind[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Just to let you know i changed my views, i will not go on a WIKIBREAK, when i leave the project it will be for good. In the meantime, these people will not get the best of me, VANDALS or NOT.

An important info: The other user i warned you about (189.72.117.97), has registered under the name BRUNO P.DORI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Bruno_P._Dori). I am 99,99999999999999999999999999999999% sure about this because his MODUS OPERANDI is the same (he has already reverted the stuff about which him and i, and also you, were "clashing", he operates mainly on players connected with FC BARCELONA, and he writes absolutely NO edit summaries)...Hope we can keep an eye on this!!

Cheers and happy week from PORTUGAL,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 19:38, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

More bad news: this user i warned you about (189.72.117.97, aka BRUNO P.DORI) now has another IP (189.73.106.148). I feel that like PARARUBBAS, he has a lot of options in this field and WILL NOT STOP, as attested to this: 5 minutes upon my edits and edit summaries, he reverted ANTONIO LONGAS, SERGIO BUSQUETS, ALBERT JORQUERA (all BARCELONA B or A players, see the pattern?), so i guess he wont stop...Guess what, i wont either...

Have a nice week man,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 21:23, 17 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bad news...[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

More bad news for the good people at WIKIPEDIA: Just came across this "person" (quotation marks intentional) as i was browsing some articles. His/her name is PEP10 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Pep10) and, as you can see from his list of "contributions" i have added, his MODUD OPERANDI his 100% the same as "good ole'" PARARUBBAS: gluing sentences (why?), removing brackets (why?x2) and...getting rid of all EXT.LINKS and REFS (why?x30000000000).

Could PEP10 be PARARUBBAS? I am almost sure he/she is but, either way, he/she is AN IDIOT and does not belong here.

Always glad to help, hope this idiot can be what he/she deserves, that is BANNED FOREVER...From PORTUGAL, terviseks and have a nice week,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 18:14, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A little help[edit]

ANTON,

Regarding your inputs in CÉSAR PEREIRA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C%C3%A9sar_Pereira), i composed infobox and storyline, and provided a source (EXTERNAL LINK), so everything is complete, the only thing missing is that idiot PEP10 aka PARARUBBAS to come and remove it just because.

I don't want to sound too judgmental, but he adds nothing to the site, he only removes, as we all well know, i don't know (and i have explained my view to SATORI SON, but our friend seems to be on a WIKIBREAK) how these people are not blocked on site, after a first disruptive edit. If they have 500 different IPs, well we block all 500 of them, but maybe i am the one not seing it correctly. All in all, this is getting HIGHLY tiresome...

Have a nice week,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 02:20, 24 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RED SIGNAL!![edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

just to let you know: after 4 days warming up, PEP10 is "on the prowl" again (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Pep10), beware...Our friend SATORI seems to be enjoying the good life (W-BREAK) but, i also tipped someone who left a welcome message on his talk page when PARARUBBAS changed to PEP. Thanks 4 listening mate, "see ya" soon,

Lost in a maze[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

After delivering my report to WP/ANI, i already received two replies (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents): one admin used sarcasm after i made a remark on PARARUBBAS lack of language knowledge, the other asked for DIFFS in edits to compare, which i did provide, along with talk pages, so it's the second time i report a disruptive editor (and you know he is disruptive) and people basically tell me to "cool down" or "i don't know what do you intend" - i could not be any clearer, i think.

So i guess i will stop with the reports, anonymous or not, i dont seem to get any respect, so i will revert whenever i can, but reports i am done with, my Estonian wiki-friend!! To these 2 admins, SMASHVILLE and METROPOLITAN90, i already replied in their talkpages, expressing my doubt and surprise.

In the meantime, is another edit war on the rise? User EZKOBAR (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Ezkobar) inserted (poorly constructed) TRIVIA section in MATS MAGNUSSON's article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mats_Magnusson), with lots of unuseful info. I reverted it with edit summary and, 5 minutes later, he re-reverted it. Well, i "inaugurated" his talkpage with a message.

Once again, terviseks and thank you for the undying support, have a nice weekend,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 17:02, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editors (and counting...)[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Really dont know what to do in this case:

User 189.73.106.148 aka Bruno P. Dori, although fairly warned by you, continues to revert (three-revert rule does not mean much i guess, let alone an edit summary) our efforts.

Do you want to know how seriously he is disruptive? Take this case, ANTONIO LONGAS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Long%C3%A1s). In "currentclub", he reverts to FC BARCELONA ATLETIC and, in 2008-09 team, which is current, he writes FC BARCELONA B, reverting it EVERYTIME i correct it. He has also worked on SERGIO BUSQUETS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sergi_Busquets) and ALBERT JORQUERA (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Jorquera), writing the ever unuseful BARCELONA YOUTH in youthclubs.

As always, nice to hear from you, have a nice week,

Disruptive editors[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

just to let you know that i give up, at least regarding this guy 189.30.65.201, aka 189.73.106.148, aka BRUNO P.DORI, aka whatever more, and his "contributions" to players connected with FC BARCELONA.

He continues to make INFOBOXES longer that needed, writing the unnecessary YOUTH in YOUTHSECTIONS, if anyone dares to revert it he re-reverts everything in minutes, without a word (!); you have warned him, he does not care, i give up! If bad quality is better that good quality, what can i do about it? I have also lost my faith in PARARUBBAS aka PEP10's case: even if this latter address gets blocked too, he will find a way to "contribute" again. And in no way i am blaming you mate, i remember once in a message you told me you did not have the power to block, it is just i am getting SO frustrated...

Have a nice week, from PORTUGAL,

Disruptive editors[edit]

ANTON, VASCO here,

PEP10 aka PARARUBBAS is active again.

Sorry to have bothered you, a nice weekend,

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ren.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ren.png.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:43, 6 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editors[edit]

Hi there my man ANTON, VASCO here,

Just tipped off our good friend SATORI SON but, in case he is on a wiki-break, i'll just say: PARARUBBAS aka PEP10 returned to active, doing...guess what?? (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Jo%C3%A3o_Pereira_(Portuguese_footballer)&diff=257328194&oldid=257327999)

In addition, that guy i also told you about, one with multiple IP who reverted our actions in players connected with FC BARCELONA, even after you told him not to? Well, SATORI intervened, protected some of those pages, and what did our "idiot" do? Registered under his account, BRUNO P.DORI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Bruno_P._Dori) and reverted everything after SATORI threatened him with blocking. Like i told SATORI, i believe he does not even know, like PEP10, he has a thing called "talkpage", with messages, but is not an excuse. Either way, i give up on this fellow, with PARARUBBAS it's a different story.

Terviseks, have a nice weekend,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 21:56, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A friendly request[edit]

Hi there ANTON, here i go again bothering,

Rest your head mate, nothing about disruptive editors now. I made a screw-up... :(

In ELISEU's article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eliseu_Pereira_dos_Santos), i did some improvements, including cats, defaultsort and others. After i was done, i received a strange message (not on my talk page, but in article itself, at the very bottom). Could you please have a look?

Thanks a million in advance, have a great weekend,

Disruptive editors - BRUNO P.DORI[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here, hope all's fine by you,

First things first: PEP10 aka PARARUBBAS blocked indefinitely (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Pep10), by our good friend SATORI SON. However, he has returned anonymously, but SATORI has been notified.

That other "chap", BRUNO P.DORI (which you also often warned), has already been blocked TWICE (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Bruno_P._Dori) but continues to pop out (even today), reverting endlessly (so far SATORI was forced to protect two articles, a pity it had to be done in simple football bits) but, anonymously (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/200.96.99.194) he did his "work". As SATORI put it, this is getting sooooo tiresome...

By the way, if you are interested, BRUNO P.DORI also works anonymously under several other IP (seen here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Satori_Son)

Terviseks, i'll wiki-see you, (P.S. - as i wrote this message, DORI reverted the unprotected Albert Jorquera article)

An expert opinion[edit]

By the way, i made an experience, ANTON,

I logged in, and created my first article from scratch. Nothing big or important, LOTS of other stuff much much more "of use"...Tell me mate, what do you think of it? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javier_Calleja_Revilla)

Have a nice week and Christmas, all good,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 22:01, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

hello?[edit]

hey anton. let's review. why did you not try to get the copy right then? since you're obviously russian. instead you deleted the file and any record of it's location online. DESPITE the photo obviously being in public domain, as it was taken during a game, by photographers which ARE NOT paid, but instead get practice with moving target's while the league gets advertisement. Do you know Arshavin's pictures from Euro 2008? Look, they are all over the internet, in newspapers all over the world. Miraculous isn't it? Even with Fifa being so greedy. It's because they have no control over them, they are in the public domain. They allowed use of them. Moreover that picture was from Arshavin's first season. The Russian Premiere League was founded in 2001. The old Top Flight is now defunct, more reason for it do be in the public domain.

I demand you provide the link from which the picture you took off came from. I dont' want to waste time finding it.

and for god sake's stop trying to ban me. it is truly pathetic. you even got your mates to help in your laughable conquest? live in the silicon valley (like many exiled russians), it would not trouble me in the least to find another ip address to by pass your childish games.

what say you? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fly05 (talkcontribs) 22:42, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another lost battle[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Take a look at this, probably it's time to leave this matter be, this guy is sick in the head, and SATORI SON has already told me a long-range block would do more harm than good. Oh well...

His "arsenal": (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Bruno_P._Dori)

Have a great 2009, yourself and yours, ty for everything,

First favour of 2009 :)[edit]

Could you do me a favour mate?

I tried and cannot come to terms with what is happening... :( Could you check why the DEFAULTSORT in Jaime Gavilán is not working? I tried removing accents, adding all surnames, nothing...

Thanks a million in advance, terviseks

  • Guess i will have to postpone that first call for help in 2009, my friend. Upon looking carefully (which most of the times is really all that it takes), i found out i had written DEFAULSORT instead of DEFAULTSORT...Problem solved, ty for everything you wiki-did for me in the past!!!

RED ALERT!!!!!![edit]

ANTON, this is an emergence!!!!!

PEP10 aka PARARUBBAS is back, under the IP 92.7.50.14 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/92.7.50.14)

In Gustavo Manduca's article he removed LINKS, REFS and so on. I apologize for leaving a very bad edit summary in my reversions, it's just i thought this individual was banned forever...If admins at WIKIPEDIA choose to ban me instead, i'm prepared to take the blame...

Ty in advance, VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 05:07, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New kid on the block[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Hope all's fine by you, happy 2009. Check out this guy: user 85.81.1.38 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/85.81.1.38) He writes no summaries whatsoever, and has the bad custom of removing details in birthplaces (i.e. born in Barcelona, Catalonia, he "steps in" and removes Catalonia, among other stuff in articles just because)

Just a quick tip, cheers,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 23:43, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • No problem here whatsoever, i most probably overreacted: I sent him a message in SPANISH (most likely his language because of his edits) and, although he did not respond, he immediately collaborated in this article.

My apologies (to them and you), VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 21:38, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1st request of 2009 (now it's official) :)[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Sorry if i have been bothering you with my last messages, but it's all for the sake of the space. I also acknowledge my "ways" have not been the best when dealing with disruptive "editors", but they really "get me going"...

Moving on, my request is: Following your suggestion about my article "from scratch", could you help me move (or tell me how to do it) the Javier Calleja Revilla page to one simply (and aptly) named JAVIER CALLEJA?

Many thanks in advance, as always happy weekend (and 2009),

RED ALERT part 2[edit]

ANTON, VASCO here,

Found another 4 IP for PEP10 aka PARARUBBAS: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/92.6.202.44) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/92.3.180.254) and (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/82.154.136.129) and (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/82.155.99.187) although not 100% about the last two, the first are definitely theirs. This time, i was "polite as polite could be" in edit summaries...

I will also report this to WP/ANI (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#PEP10_aka_PARARUBBAS_.28anonymous_disruptive_editing.29), as well as to our wiki-friend SATORI SON.

From Portugal, terviseks,

VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 20:01, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So far, after my WP/ANI report, no answer, and the next three "cases" have all been addressed. Feeling so very much alone in this...If i am bothering you by any chance (although you have always helped me greatly i must add), just say the word and i'll stop it!!

Attentively - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 21:57, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Another thing i noticed is that he keeps inserting mambo-jambo in his edits (other than removing other people's work), which consists in saying: "after some great performances, this or that player attracted interest from this or that team", just to make his "contributions" look brighter. Oh well, let's see who gets tired first, i am definitely reaching my limit...By the way, thank you very much for the hand on Javier Calleja's article re-direction, was only looking for you to point me in the right direction, you took care of the whole thing...

Cheers, VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 03:22, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Someone is back!!!![edit]

Hi there ANTON this is urgent!!!!

PEP10 aka PARARUBBAS has new account, now as PASD08 ("contributions" here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Pasd08) example here (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=F%C3%A1bio_Coentr%C3%A3o&diff=262329686&oldid=262233611).

Have also tipped SATORI, and will immediately report this to WP/ANI, although i know what their reaction will be. My conscience tells me to do so.

Take care, VASCO AMARAL - --217.129.67.28 (talk) 21:41, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PEP10/PARARUBBAS/PASD08[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

It's Saturday, so VANDAL PASD08 has a "ticket to ride", that is to say he is back with his vandalizing. Mommy let him use the computer after he did homework...

Example (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Raul_Meireles&diff=263163234&oldid=262433421, i upgraded article with 3 REFS he dispatched them, but only its REFLIST template, meaning they are still there, only not visible, but he is not to do that i believe. Yet he was merciful enough and allowed us to keep EXTERNAL LINK; another ex. here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Aly_Cissokho&diff=263153809&oldid=262040470, not being magnanimous this time, dispatching both LINKS and REFS), list of contributions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Pasd08), i have reverted some of his "work".

Take care, VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 18:52, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Proceeded (not quite sure why, given the feedback received and the disruption continued) to leave a message on PASD08's page, in PORTUGUESE. Rest assured my friend, i have not insulted him, only asked (silly me) why does he continue doing this. Kind regards, VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 22:29, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PARARUBBAS[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Yes, my friend, i have reported to WP/ANI repeatedly (please check this archive of yours, in the section "RED ALERT PART 2"), and their silence is unbearable. Have also been tipping regularly our mate SATORI, let's see what comes of this...

Have a great week, VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 14:27, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

BRUNO P.DORI/Reports[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Here's another anonymous IP for vandal BRUNO P.DORI, about the 30th: (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/189.73.104.35), he keeps enlarging INFOBOX, writing ZERO summaries and so on.

As far as PEP/PARARUBBAS, situation has been reported also to WikiProject Football, as i previously told you i have joined the force, but the response was the same as at WP/ANI: ZERO (!!!), while cases present after my report are addressed...I GIVE UP with vandals, SATORI told me once there was a possibility of a long-range block, but that would make "good" people pay for the "bad". I am more and more convinced that is the only solution in cases like this two.

Good week, VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 01:49, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PARARUBBAS[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

I want to ask of you a great favour, mate: As it seems clear, clear, clear, that people at WP/ANI will not pay any attention to me, could you try and tip them yourself about this vandal? He continues (examples here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Livio_Prieto&diff=prev&oldid=264727706 and here http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Z%C3%A9_Manel_(football_player)&diff=prev&oldid=264708459) One example that he is doing this on purpose and is getting more and more acquainted with wiki-processes: to remove REFERENCES, he found out he does not have to remove the entire sequence, just removing REFLIST TEMPLATE the refs are not displayed (you can find this in the first example above)

Maybe you will be luckier than me. I am also asking your help because SATORISON seems to have vanished into thin air, nothing from him in a week (he has not edited or anything, and has lots of messages from me and others in his talkpage).

My man ANTON, please help me with this, if you cannot report it, at least tip an admin, please.

Anyway you decide, ty for your endless support, take care,

VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 21:37, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Talk to the hand", says some1[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Well, the vandal goes on, even after nice messages (from admin/user WALDIR), and nice/sarcastic ones (from me and in PORTUGUESE); tricky or simple questions, it's all the same to the vandal. Example from today: Pawel Kieszek (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pawe%C5%82_Kieszek&diff=265304604&oldid=260171242), LINKS out, sentences "glued", loan signs in INFOBOX removed, because he says so!

What do i mean with nice/sarcastic messages from me? He inserted, in several articles, an important template (PORTUGUESE LIGA TOP SCORERS), which i think was a nice addition. I let him know it was a good work and urged him to "keep it that way", but did not insult nor insert CAPS...Well, you see the result of this interaction...

Please my man, tip some1 at WPFOOTY, please!!

Ty in advance, have a nice week,

VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 16:51, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editors (NEWS)[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

I saw that you proceeded to some nice deeds, by reverting PASD08's today rubbish. However, i had to undo your 6 reversions in Vitória Futebol Clube's SQUAD TEMPLATE, because as i also left in that edit summary, they were actually GOOD EDITS!! (with several new players which actually signed for the club)

That is what's terribly difficult to understand: he inserts good TEMPLATES, which no one removes, but then proceeds to remove links, refs, pcupdates, write in appalling English full of POV/WEASEL (most, if not ALL of the storyline info provided by this person is like that), subsequently engaging in NO conversation whatsoever.

As far as the WP/ANI goes (with the help of Portuguese admin WALDIR), it is good: pending on him responding to a message someone left (likely another admin) in his talkpage, if the reaction is negative (no answer, which will MOST DEFINITELY occur), he will be INDEF BLOCKED. Good news? To a point: he will just forget about this account and start another one (the fourth, not counting all the anonymous IP), with the same rubbish "contributions"...What a moron!

Anyways, ty very much as always for your wiki-support, hope your schedule out of this is giving you time to breathe, take care,

Hello! Request[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Hope all's fine with you mate, sorry for bothering you, but here is a request (i would not if i knew how to handle things myself, i like teamwork and, besides, i think i already told you i don't have whole of a lot of luck in my reports to WP/ANI, they are pretty much ignored or scolded, even after i registered):

Here is a case about a "contributor" with whom you (and SATORI, who continues to be missing) greatly helped me: BRUNO P.DORI, whom eventually was blocked indef (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Bruno_P._Dori). Now he has a new account, BRUNINHO (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Bruninho), which has also been (briefly) blocked (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Bruninho), but continues to use ENDLESS anonymous IP to engage in his activities, which consist in: engaging in infobox wars (nearly, if not, 100% of his editing space), needlessly enlarging it and writing no summaries or messages. My request is, since you don't have blocking power, could ask someone to do it, or just tip someone? Most of those new IP can be found at Albert Jorquera, Antonio Longás, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Piqué.

Also (this i also do not know how to do), could you add those new addresses to the list of sockpuppets? Last time i checked it contained 26 and, almost 1 month after, still 26, when he has nearly 40 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Bruno_P._Dori)

Thank you very much in advance, and please note again i am only asking this favour because i do not know how to proceed with those things myself, cheers mate,

He is back!!![edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

Do you remember PARARUBBAS aka PEP10 aka PASD08 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Pasd08#Sock_of_Pararubbas)? Well, the vandal is back, now with the account KAKD08 ("contributions" here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Kakd08).

The modus operandi is, unfortunately and obviously, the same as seen here (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vitorino_Antunes&diff=269312444&oldid=266434623). As you can see, now he is magnanimous enough to leave the EXTERNAL LINKS, but continues to "hate" REFERENCES and paragraphs, "gluing" all sentences...It's him, alright!!! I am tired sick of idiots like this, i am leaving the project for good but, before i did so, thought i'd drop you a line as you helped me (and the site ultimately) the other time.

Greetings, have a nice week, and rest assured this was my last message, don't want to bother anyone, just tipping some people about this idiot and off i go, this time i'm dead serious,

Anon vandal[edit]

Hi there ANTON, VASCO here,

First things first: hope all is fine with you, wish you a nice week mate.

Now, business ;). I noticed you left a warning in this anon IP's talkpage (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:92.0.138.66). Well, let me tell you it gets worse, he has an endless array of IP (they all start with 92,etc,etc) and now, listen to this little story (in "copy/paste" format):

He keeps changing infoboxes at his pleasure, and inserting lies. Take this four examples, Arnaldo Edi Lopes da Silva (here, he removed wikilink of PORTUGAL NATIONAL U21 TEAM and inserted just PORTUGAL, and has inserted lies about him being called up to the main national team), Juanfran (with all the links i provided, he still changes his national stats, and now has merged the U21 and A teams' stats, just because), Geraldo Alves (also removed national team link, and changed to nation) and Gustavo Manduca (he inserted national team lies, which i removed; How could he have scored against Belgium in the Olympics when this nation did not even appear? Also, checking - it is available on Wikipedia - the match reports of that competition, we can clearly see that Manduca did not score, against Belgium or any other team).

A common pattern? They are ALL AEK Athens FC players. Have a nice week from Portugal,

No, the articles have to satisfy the following criteria:
  • The subject publicly self-identifies with the belief or orientation in question.
  • The subject's beliefs or sexual orientation are relevant to the subject's notable activities or public life, according to reliable published sources.
You can mention their religion in the articles if you can find reliable sources. BanRay 23:15, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hey ANTON, VASCO here, nice to "see you",

Thanks for the tip, i really hope everything is fine with you. Regarding this situation, it's kind of extreme as well. This anon IP has now registered under the account Georgios21 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Georgios21, it's him, he continues to operate solely on AEK Athens FC players), and it's serious, man: at least here, here and here, false info has been inserted (players were, because GEORGIOS says so, called to the olympics squads...templates are THAT EASY to change!), and he writes no edit summaries whatsoever.

Cheers, take care, Vasco Amaral - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 22:38, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personally I don't see any problem with that, although List of Muslim sportspeople would be more in line with the general naming guidelines. And make sure you provide reliable sources. Cheers. BanRay 01:37, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FK Sarajevo[edit]

I really don't know what you talkin' about, the one who is vandalizing the article about FK Sarajevo is you. It is obviously that you don't know nothing about the club as you are permanently reverting my actions. For example it is not correct that Safet Susic played in 85 for Sarajevo, he was with PSG. I'm just erasing false facts and adding true things. And for the picture I got permission of the authors...--Vjecnobordo (talk) 10:36, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ban User[edit]

Hi, I want to ask you if you could block the user MrBosnia, because he's vandalizing the page about the Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team. He's always reverting my edits concerning the current squad claiming that there's no evidence for the current squad. However the Coach of the National Team made his call-ups just yesterday as you can see on the official site of the Bosnian Football Federation. The Squad I posted corresponds exactly to the one on the site. So, please could you do something about it?

Thank you for your time--Vjecnobordo (talk) 13:26, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He's done it again, really need your help!--Vjecnobordo (talk) 15:10, 6 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: bosnia article[edit]

There is no evidence to support these squad changes, especially the addition of Ermin Zec. Therefore it would be more rational to just wait when this is available. MrBosnia (talk) 20:06, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

While the link Vjecnobordo supplied me is an authentic site for the nationalteam, it contains no squad roster on it. MrBosnia (talk) 20:08, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, problem resolved. He showed his evidence. MrBosnia (talk) 22:58, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ! I appreciate the work you have did, with adding the two different versions of the logo of PFC Levski Sofia, but I will say it again - I live in Bulgaria and I know EXACTLY which logo uses the BULGARIAN champion in it's league matches and which logo is depicted by UEFA's site and the A PFG's TV broadcaster. So in that case the club uses the first logo. Levski's site hasn't been updated in a long time so that is probably the mistake from which you have deceived yourself. As I said, I appreciate the work that you have done, but it is obviously a mistake. That's why I will undo the changes, which you have did. If you have any questions, write on my talk page. Cheers and much regards. LoVeCa (talk) 20:05, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 05:07, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question on Estonia. Would Duchess Woizlawa Feodora of Mecklenburg count as the pretender of the Estonian throne beacuse her father, Duke Adolf Friedrich of Mecklenburg, was elected to the throne of Estonia and Latvia during the United Batlic Duchy which is the only time Estonia(i think) had its own royal family(like not part of any country like Russia)? BanRay, please excuse me adding my twopenceworth - I came here simply to express relief at finding that someone else has raised the issue of the Anglocentrism of Wikipedia. Many of the rules are guidelines that become interpreted as inflexible rules. They've stopped being sensible yardsticks for preventing abuse, instead they've become Procrustean beds. All the same people are often prepared to live with that until someone decides to apply the rules systematically, forcing the pace and damaging the inclination to consensus. That's when people who disagree give up because they see no point continuing to engage with a system that is institutionally skewed. (I am English-speaking, English-born and English, but I live in London, so I hope I understand what Burns was saying when he wrote "O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us". And I think it's sad to see Wikipedia retreat from openness to a place where the will of the core community is becoming law. Opbeith (talk) 00:14, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Invite to the African Destubathon[edit]

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:13, 6 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Estoniastubmap.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned map.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 21:28, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article Urmas Hepner has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Liz Read!
