Hi! Not to worry. The original article still exists. The redirect was implausible, so I deleted only that. You're OK otherwise.  :) --PMDrive1061 (talk) 01:11, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of elementary schools[edit]

In general, schools that are below the high school level are not presumed to be notable. The article must show that they meet wikipedia's notability requirements for organizations or its general notability requirements. Your recent contributions:

and

do not do this yet.

Most elementary schools do not meet Wikipedia's notability criteria and articles should not be written about them. There are exceptions, such as schools which are famous at a state or national level or recognized at a national level, such as Blue Ribbon Schools. All other schools should either not exist at all or be just a redirect to the article about their school district, school system, or city. In this case, it's York County School Division. Cities and school systems should have articles, if the ones for these schools do not, create them. Depending on how exclusive it is and how much "non-trivial" coverage it generates, Tabb may qualify for its own article by virtue of receiving the Governor's Award for Educational Excellence. However, if this is an award given out to more than a very small percentage of elementary schools each year, it's probably not going to help. If it's an award given out to only 2 or 3, it almost certainly qualifies. If the number is in between it's iffy. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 02:50, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've started a merger discussion at Talk:York County School Division#Merge in elementary schools to discuss merging these 4 articles plus Tabb Middle School into the school division article. Please read Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Grafton Middle School for a similar discussion from 2007. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 03:03, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

While I have not seen any specific problems with your additions to List of popes, they have not been attributed (see Talk:List of popes#Many Missing References). In order to be verifiable, additions need to be attributed to reliable sources, especially descriptions like "suspected to" (by whom). Please do not leave it to others to support your changes. If you have sources but need technical assistance formatting references, just ask.Novangelis (talk) 18:20, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe all of my contributions to List of popes are simply quick factoids taken from other Wikipedia pages. Should I still cite these? If so, how?
I also don't like my wording on that "suspected to" part. Any recommendations on how to re-word?
Wikipedia is not a source for Wikipedia (WP:CIRCULAR). The key would be to find the sources used on the individual pages. A major problem is that some of the individual pages are not well attributed. This can be problematic since someone might use Wikipedia as a source and propagate false claims, then someone uses that as a source. This is why I try to push sourcing, and fill it in as I can. As for "suspected to", check the source and see what is said. You might get something concise but more specific (e.g. "The Anglican Church accused..." or "Issued a Papal Bull..."). Additionally, I refactored your comments by indenting using a leading colon on each line. It is a convention in discussions, but your talk page is yours, so if I was out of line, please inform me.Novangelis (talk) 19:06, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I actually did not know the colon-indenting trick. I'll try to source what I can. Thanks for your help!

I just started reviewing the edits. There was a problem with the fist one. Henry IV of France was excommunicated by Sixtus V and Gregory XIV endorsed the prior excommunication. Disambiguation link notification for June 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Roy D. Bridges, Jr., you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Test Pilot (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
