A tag has been placed on Dimitris Dragoumanidis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Vejvančický (talk) 07:50, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

August 2009[edit]

Please do not add hoaxes to Wikipedia. Hoaxes are caught and marked for deletion shortly after they are created. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method is to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia – and then to correct them if possible. Please don't disrupt Wikipedia in an attempt to test our ability to detect and remove such material. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia policy to learn more about this project and how you can make a positive impact. Thank you. --Vejvančický (talk) 07:53, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

General notes about articles you have created[edit]

Please be careful when creating articles on living people. We have a policy here which dictates that all biographies must cite reliable sources. Some of the articles you created had false information in them. This may have been unintentional, you may have been using a template to create similar articles on different people. Regardless, you are encouraged to create articles in your userspace before transferring to mainspace to avoid any problems. I have deleted most of the articles because some of them had a discrepancy between the article name and the name in the body of the text and infoboxes. One player may well have been notable but had completely the wrong information when checked against non-English Wikipedias (Kamil Ulman). Also, as a side note, the language you are using in the articles is not appropriate for an encyclopedia: terms like "he is good player" portray a personal opinion rather than a neutral tone expected of an encyclopedia. Again, I am willing to assume good faith that you did not intentionally mean to introduce factually incorrect information onto Wikipedia and wish you the best. – B.hoteptalk• 09:29, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Dimitris Dragoumanidis[edit]

The article Dimitris Dragoumanidis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability. A check on google only reveals wiki entries. Text in the article is inconsistent with the lead.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. noq (talk) 20:06, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Vyzas F.C. - current squad[edit]

Hello Ioannis Marougkas 10. According to the website transfermarkt.co the current squad of Vyzas Megaron looks like this. I can't find the names of Emanouel Okoue, Akis Maziotis, Dimitris Dragoumanidis, Nikos Kourpanas. The information contained in the infobox of the article Kamil Ulman seems to be incorrect. Various websites present different data. Can you explain it, please?? Thanks in advance for your answer. --Vejvančický (talk) 13:03, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merging 2004-05 and Olympiacos F.C. season 2004-05[edit]

Hello Ioannis! On 26 August 2009 you created Olympiacos F.C. season 2004-05 and have only made that one edit there to date. On 31 August 2009 you created 2004-05, an apparently duplicate article of the earlier one, and made four more edits there that day. Presumably the title of that second article is in error, but there may be some content in it that belongs in the first. As the sole contributor to those articles, would you please copy whatever additional information you want from 2004-05 to Olympiacos F.C. season 2004-05 and then place the following text on the top of 2004-05

{{db-author|rationale=Accidentally created duplicate article with wrong title}}

and then 2004-05 should be deleted. I'll watch this page, so please ask here if you have any questions. -- ToET 09:09, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
