Are you really Marty O'Brien? If so, that's pretty cool that I'm talking to a musician that toured with one of my favorite bands, Disturbed. I also expanded your article a while back. If this is not Marty O'Brien, I suggest you choose a different username. TheWeakWilled (T * G) 22:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

_____ Yes, this is really me. I'm just trying to keep this page up to date with all the correct info & discography. Thanks for expanding my article in the past.. I'm getting a warning saying that my photo I've uploaded is missing copyright info. I've tried uploading the same photo to a Wikimedia Commons page, (whatever that means), but I can't figure out how to get it up there. I apparently also need to "cite" some websites where this info comes from? As you can see, I don't really know what I'm doing here. Still trying to learn. Any tips on those two problems would be greatly appreciated. (MartyOBrien (talk) 13:44, 13 December 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Ah, yes licensing can be confusing. The easiest way to upload to the commons is make an account there and go to [1] There you will be able to upload your picture. If the picture was already published elsewhere (such as on your website), you will have to email permission to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org.
Citing sources is important, especially for BLPs. The sources found have to be reliable as outlined by WP:RS. Also, you may want to look at WP:SELFPUB. When I added info, I used interviews (such as the one on talkbass) and articles on blabbermouth.net. You could probably use [2] as well. For the technical part, after the statement that you want to cite put <ref>{{cite web |url= |title= |date= |last= |first= |accessdate= |publisher= }}</ref>. When parsed it will show up as [1]. At the bottom of the article, under references, it will show up as:
  1. ^ D'Angelo, Joe (12 January 2001). "Disturbed Bassist Won't Make European Trek Due To Injury". MTV. Retrieved 13 December 2009.
If you don't know something in the cite web template (such as the last/first name of the person who wrote an article), leave it blank. If you need any further help, just ask here! TheWeakWilled (T * G) 18:40, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File copyright problem with File:Martyobrien.jpg[edit]

The article Bobby Collin has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. A tag has been placed on Bobby Collin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

The article Bobby Collin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A CV-like page on an unremarkable business executive. Does not meet WP:ANYBIO and significant RS coverage not found.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
