Hi Maxis, ftw. I was just wondering why my contribution to the Seventh Day Adventist page was "unconstructive". Are you Seventh Day Adventist? If so, then you must acknowledge the truth in my article contribution. This phenomena of hypocrisy when it comes to modesty of self adornment and material possession is a fact. You should try living in Loma Linda, California to understand this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.151.25.115 (talk) 00:06, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

September 2008[edit]

Alright, I wouldn't worry too much. Mistakes happen. I've removed the warning from your talk page, since you've made it clear it was an accidental revert to a previous bad version. You've accidently restored bad content, but thanks for putting the effort in and giving it a go :) If you'd like to learn more about reverting vandalism, see WP:REVERT and WP:VANDALISM, which have some useful tips. Happy editing. SMC (talk) 23:10, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You're doing a pretty good job yourself just using the basic undo function. Can I suggest, though, that you warn vandals when they vandalise? This helps the community deal with longer term vandalism by recording an official warning on their talk pages, which, if they record four warnings and then vandalise after their final warning (all within a short period of time, say, a day), will usually result in a block. If you can take that suggestion on it might even make things a little easier on you, since a warned user may think twice about vandalising again. Having said that, you're doing an awesome job with many accurate reverts that I can see. Keep it up! Cheers. SMC (talk) 23:46, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. I'll start warning them with the templates you linked to for me. Cheers!Maxis ftw (talk) 23:47, 30 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Just another note about warnings, usually they'll go up in levels - so for the first time the user vandalises, the warning is a uw-vandalism1, second time is a uw-vandalism2, and so on. After vandalism4, if the vandalism still continues you can report the user at WP:AIV. Thanks :) SMC (talk) 00:20, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for telling me! Maxis ftw (talk) 00:42, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

October 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Homosexual has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. SunDragon34 (talk) 08:18, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, no-no-no-no. Sorry about that. You did the right thing, for sure! I just hit the revert button on Huggle at the same time you hit undo, and so I ended up accidentally reverting you instead of the vandal. You definitely did the right thing; that was a vandal you reverted--Our reverts simply fell at the same time, and my revert command hit you instead. I reverted myself; see my edit summary on the page history following my accidental undo. Sorry about the mix-up. Cheers! SunDragon34 (talk) 08:30, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, thank you for your understanding. Cheers!Maxis ftw (talk) 08:39, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Maxis ftw, I have granted your account rollback in accordance with your request. Just Curious[edit]

As a relative newcomer to Wikipedia, I was curious about what you found unconstructive about my (admittedly minor) edit to The Tale of the Bunny Picnic. As I recall, it was to correct a spelling error for which I did provide an edit summary. Any information you could give me to clarify would be helpful as I continue to edit on Wikipedia. Thanks! Well. Heres soem info on them.

Names In Harry Potter, there was Hagrid, and Grawp. Grawp, being Grawp, the mean vandal. And Hagrid Being Hagger. So yeah.

This is an example of what Hagger does]
Grawps Chechuser He got perm. banned, but still comes back with accounts that are related to his name, attacks aginst other editors, etc. He always has something against anyone.
Again, this is we're they made a page about him on encyclopedia dramatica. What ever you do, do not and encourage you do not view his userpage, it shows a computer-crashing image.
Same thing with Hagger They say that hes Grawps "older/twin brother". People like them are, obviously, Trolls.
More info of them can be found on encyclopedia dramtica. Just one thing. If you ever go there, try not to see Grawps and Haggers user page... It has a computer crashing image.
Btw, there are more vandals to be on the look out for.

User:Willy on wheels was a user who actually succesfully moved This to placing the globe with Willy On Wheels. He is banned as well, but trolling always comes back.

One more i think. She was known as The Avril Troll.

She is a fanatic of [Avril Lavigne]. She trolls the ref desk and their headers and many articles and users. She did some Trolls in May here and here. Brought up [#Vandalism on Gregory Peck? here]. She basically used Tor Nodes to do all this. Hundreds of accounts. Her epic vandalism is here from one of her accounts. Her mess on one article. Her on a talk page which basically tells the whole story. And another annoying edit. The link below was computer crashing as well. Btw, she crashed encyclopedia dramatica for half an hour. So yeah. But she gave up Here, and said that she had fun while it lasted.

Anyways, Im done lecturing. I hope you know a little bit more now. Right? ^^

Thumb sucking[edit]

I noticed you reverted a user 124.171.45.228 for edits she wrote on thumb sucking. She's not actually a vandal so much as a long standing content disputer, Elsiemobbs, who has been editing the article off and on for about 2 years. Back in 2007 she seemed easy to talk to, but lately she is getting more difficult because she has moved towards a strategy of posting content that supports her particular theory about mammalian imprinting with a reference pointing to a paper-only source which so far has invariably turned out not to contain the information she claims it has. For somebody with access to a library that has these journals or has an ILL program, that would not be such a problem, but I'm not that lucky. I am going to have to devolve the responsibility for watching her onto somebody else as there is not much else I can do. Soap Talk/Contributions 02:01, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The problem I have is that even though I'm almost sure (from past experience) that her source doesn't say what she claims it does, there's no way I can prove it without actually going out and looking up the information in whichever article she is referring to. And then I'm sure she'll just do the same thing again. I don't think she has any purpose here on Wikipedia other than to promote her theories ... whether there is a monetary incentive behind that (she's published a book), or whether she's just promoting her point of view because she believes it's correct and wants people to hear it, it's pretty much the only thing she's done in all her time on Wikipedia. I would not have a problem with this, and would be happy to fix up her edits so that they are properly formatted, easy to read, and so on, (and in fact I have done that with her edits in the past), if they were actually verifiable. But this is not the case. She is essentially a POV editor hiding behind paper sources which I don't have easy access to and it seems that nobody else is paying any attention to the article. What would you recommend I do? Soap Talk/Contributions 02:16, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My original MA Thesis now 20 years old gave references and I usually speak at about 3 conferences a year. This year I am presenting at the Biological Psychiatry conference in Paris 28/6/09-2/7/09. If there is any doubt about my work and you want a printout or a specific reference you can write to me directly Dr Elsie Mobbs, Perinatal & Infant Mental Health Service, Liverpool Hospital, Liverpool 2170, NSW, Australia and my mobile is 0417203439. Steven Suomi who is now head of Harry Harlow's institute said in public at a conference that thumbsucking in primates is indicative of the animal being raised by humans. If you buy my book there is a photo of a thumbsucking human reared kangaroo. In one of Konrad Lorenz's publication you will find his dummy sucking beaver photo! Look up Utube and you will find many videos of human reared body part sucking animals. Elsie Mobbs —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.174.5 (talk) 04:29, 9 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 01:14, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
