Sanctions[edit]

Hi, please will you self-revert your edit at Jat people and discuss what ever your issues may be on that article's talk page. Removing sourced content etc without discussion is never a good thing but in the case of Indian caste/community articles it can be particularly problematic. For that reason, the English Wikipedia community has recently introduced sanctions. I post here a copy of the standard explanatory text for those sanctions. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 21:41, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

Deletions at Jat people[edit]

Greetings, you have tried again to remove a photo of a girl, and one sentence, from Jat people. You have provided no explanation for doing so, so your edit has again been reverted. Please come to Talk:Jat people to voice any concerns you have as to why this material should be removed. If you persist in removing data without explanation or discussion, this constitutes WP:edit warring and your account may be blocked. Please instead come and communicate clearly with other editors as to how the article may be improved. MatthewVanitas (talk) 21:49, 5 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
