Kate Elizabeth Voegele (pronounced /ˈvoʊɡəl/ (deprecated template); born December 8, 1986)[citation needed] is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and actress. She is currently signed to Interscope Records.[citation needed]

Career

Don't Look Away and Acting Debut

In 2007, Voegele released the first single from her debut album, "Only Fooling Myself".[citation needed]

A Fine Mess and Touring

In 2008, Voegele began writing for a new album, and by the end of the year, she had signed a contract with Interscope Records.[citation needed] She also recorded a cover version of the song, When You Wish Upon a Star, for the compilation album DisneyMania 6.[citation needed]

Kate's second album, A Fine Mess was released on May 18, 2009.[citation needed]

Gravity Happens

On April 2, 2011, Voegele stated that the album will be released on May 17, 2011.[citation needed]Voegele will open for Natasha Bedingfield on her Less is More Tour at select concerts.[1]

As an actress, she appeared in One Tree Hill as Mia.[2]

Personal life

Voegele was born in the Cleveland suburb of Bay Village, Ohio.[citation needed] She is of English, Irish, Scottish, French, German, and Italian descent.[3] Voegele attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio through spring of 2007 as a fine arts and psychology major, leaving to focus on a music career afterwards.[citation needed]
