I did what I could based on a bit of not-very-efficient web-searching. Haven't been able to track down a birthdate yet though. If anyone has any info, please do add! Helen-Eva 11:46, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that this recent edit was done by Kitty Ferguson. I advised her to see the autobiography page and undid the edit, but if anyone wants to confirm the content of the edit, please feel welcome. You're dreaming eh? 03:36, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see nothing problematical with that edit: It appears entirely factual, and does not in any way violate NPOV. Specifically, the added book titles and years are accurate (as confirmed by, e.g., Amazon.com); removing her mother's maiden name (even if that name can be found in state birth records) is appropriate per WP:BLP#Misuse of primary sources; and there's no reason to doubt the updated residence information. (The Bluffton address checks out in e.g., 411.com, but again it would be inappropriate to cite that; I suppose a case could be made that the information should be removed entirely, if it doesn't appear in a reliable secondary source.) I'm reinstating the changes for now. Hqb (talk) 18:24, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any information about what working scientists (or Hawking himself) think of her books? Attending lectures and helping an eight year old with a science fair project would not seem to qualify one to explain astrophysics to anyone. Not saying it is not possible, it just doesn't seem very rigorous. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.255.145.95 (talk) 17:44, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
