Chalermphon Sanitwongchai (21 january 1938 - 10 July 2011) He was Former Vice President of the Thai House of Representatives, Former Deputy Minister of Commerce and Former member of the Udon Thani Provincial House of Representatives 7 terms.
Life[edit]
Chalermphon Sanotwongchai was born on 21th January 1938. He was Mr. Somsak and Mrs. Khamdee Sanitwong. He graduated Certificate of Higher Education from Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University. And got married with Ms. Bangon Sanitwongchai. Mr. Chalermphon had 2 childerns who were Members of the House of Representatives, Udon Thani Province. They were Miss Thirada Sanitwongcha and Mr. Atthaphon Sanitwongchai.
Political Career[edit]
He was former goverment teacher and then and was elected president of the Udon Thani Teachers Cooperative before applying for candidate of the national political field. He ran for election as a member of the House of Representatives in Udon Thani Provinceand and was elected for the first time in 1976. He was under in Social Action Party and was selected continuously until 1996 and was appointed Deputy Minister of Commerce In the government of Mr. Chuan Leekpai and in the goverment of Mr. Chavalit Yongchaiyudh.
And then applied for election which he was under Thai Rak Thai Party in 2001 but he got lose to Mr. Mr. Sarawut Phetphanomporn. At last being involved in national politics. So he applied for election in Election of the President of Provincial Administrative Organizations in Thailand in 2004ซึ่งเป็นการเลือกตั้งผู้บริหารท้องถิ่นโดยตรงจากประชาชนเป็นครั้งแรกในประเทศไทย กำหนดจัดขึ้นในวันที่ 14 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2547 เขาได้รับเลือกตั้งเป็นนายกองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดอุดรธานีในสมัยแรก แต่ต่อมาพ่ายแพ้การเลือกตั้งนายกองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดอุดรธานี สมัยที่สอง จึงทำให้ยุติบทบาททางการเมืองไป
