Notability[edit]

@Bcschneider53: Hello. In the editing history of this article you wrote, "All IndyCar races are notable enough for individual race reports" [1]. Also, you used the same rationale for "2014 ABC Supply Wisconsin 250" [2], and "2014 GoPro Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma" [3]. I am trying to figure out, on what criteria you are basing notability for these topics? Would you mind letting me know. Thanks in advance. I am not concerned these are stubs. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 01:41, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Steve Quinn: Hi Steve. These articles are race reports (albeit not very good ones at this point) for races run by the IndyCar Series, the highest level of Open Wheel racing in North America. These races make up the same championship as the Indianapolis 500 does. Races for other seasons have attained GA status in the past (e.g. 2010 São Paulo Indy 300, 2011 IZOD IndyCar World Championship) and notability has never been in question. If you would like more information, you can take a look at WP:WikiProject American Open Wheel Racing. Thanks, --Bcschneider53 (talk) 02:13, 20 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
