Untitled[edit]

I think the "goofy blend" line devalues the music too much. Ass Ponys are not Weird Al.--Jeffauxier 19:23, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I was trying to paraphrase this bio from AllMusic. I'm only peripherally familiar with their music and would appreciate any help improving this article. Hoof Hearted 20:33, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

not much for edits (unless i'm fixing typos - i am not the best at organzing things in a meaningful/useful format) but chuck cleaver is now in a band called "wussy". should this be added to another section or hyperlinked from chuck cleaver or ???

Fair use rationale for Image:Ass Ponys.jpg[edit]

Image:Ass Ponys.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:38, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Band name[edit]

Is this band called The Ass Ponys or just Ass Ponys? And why not Ass Ponies? If anyone can answer these questions (and add sourced to the article), please do! It also needs much more information about the albums. And did they really have only ONE notable single? Should they then be classified as one hit wonders? leevclarke (talk) 22:58, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, the official name seems to be Ass Ponys, no "The", although it was occassionally (informally?) used in the media, similar to the Pixies. I have no idea why Ass Ponies wasn't used. Billboard only credits them with ONE charting single, and while I think that helps make them notable, I don't think it was successful enough to be called a "hit". That's just my own opinion, but I think most people would regard Ass Ponys as a NO hit wonder. Hoof Hearted (talk) 18:54, 31 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
