Plagiarism issue[edit]

There's a brewing controversy about this movie's similarity to the indie film The God Inside My Ear by Joe Badon. Someone might want to source something about that and add a blurb. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.92.166.4 (talk) 22:53, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

hey, i noticed that a ip address removed "based on the god inside my ear by joe badon" from the infobox, so i added it back. their only edit is removing the based on section from the film's wikipedia page. could be the duplass bros. trying to edit the page... hey, the user "162.217.34.60" removed the "based on" infobox section again. i am pretty sure that this is the creators of the film trying to cover their asses by making it seem like their movie is original. they have used 2 ip addresses, both of their only edits are removing the following:

| based on = The God Inside My Ear
by Joe Badon

could somebody stop them from doing this? it seems like they keep using new IP addresses to cover up the fact that their movie is plagiarized. that's my rant, thank you for listening Dvdmovies123 (talk) 11:46, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any concrete evidence that this film is "based on" or plagiarizing The God Inside My Ear? I'm aware of the allegations made but is there any reason to believe it goes further than that? EtherBottle (talk) 05:33, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

please lock page to logged-in users[edit]

so far, 3 different ip addresses have edited this page to remove "based on the god inside my ear by joe badon" from the infobox as their only edit. i believe that this is the filmmakers using a vpn to make it seem like their film is original when there is lots of evidence that it is plagiarized. this is frankly ridiculous. they are trying to cover it up and it shows. please lock this page so that only users who are logged in can edit it. thanks for coming to my ted talk (Dvdmovies123)

addendum: he deleted this info on the page, calling it desperate propaganda and then he said that him doing that was false info. what the heck Dvdmovies123 (talk) 20:57, 19 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, reviewing this matter, I have to say that the content does not belong in the "Based on" parameter in the film infobox. It appears that there is coverage about the film being compared to The God Inside My Ear, and that could go in the article body if the sources are reliable and the weight is not undue.
