The book Guide to the Flags of the World by Mauro Talocci, revised and updated by Whitney Smith (ISBN0-688-01141-1), p. 123 shows a rather different version, with red background, and enclosing and enclosed text... AnonMoos (talk) 14:49, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Is it exactly as this one, or is there any difference? --Waldirtalk 17:59, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's more similar to that, but everything is inside a bigger red circle, and the words "REPUBLICA DE CABO VERDE" are around the outside of the larger circle. AnonMoos (talk) 01:01, 4 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That makes some sense, but honestly, I'm not sure which of these 3 versions is the correct one. The current image in the article was based on several books released by the government in the early years after the independence, but I wouldn't be surprised if the details on those are not exactly correct. The best way to settle this would perhaps be reading the official description from the constitution of that time. I'll try and see whether I can get access to a copy. --Waldirtalk 11:07, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
