Texas Occupations Code[edit]
The Texas Occupations Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to regulate different professions and industries as well as to provide provisions for licensing for these occupations via the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The code lays out a number of general occupations and details the scope and regulates the actions of Texans in each profession. [1] The code was enacted in 1999 and 2001 by Texas HB 3155, 76th R.S. and Texas HB 2813, 77th R.S., respectively, as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963.[2]
