Citation for lowercasing dawn/Dawn Landes' first name?

Please see Talk:Dawn_Landes#Lowercases_first_name.3F -- I noticed that you've changed her first name to lower-case, saying "dawn lowercases her first name," but providing no citation for that assertion. Can you provide a citation for use dawn instead of Dawn? Her website (http://www.dawnlandes.com/) and her label's website (http://westernvinyl.com/artists/dawnlandes.html) both appear to think she capitalizes her first name. Your evidence seems to be links from 2007, liner notes from a 2008 album, and her MySpace page. Aside from the MySpace page (which I would counter with her very current website - http://www.dawnlandes.com/, where she is Dawn throughout). Have you looked at the liner notes from Bluebird? The cover has her name in all caps, but the liner notes have her as Dawn in the musician, producer, and writer credits -- this is her latest album, 2014, not 2007 or 2008. I assume the liner notes and her website are all errors made by people who don't know what dawn wants. Clearly, you're not convincing me and I'm not convincing you -- the references you cite look old to me and the references I cite are just errors made by stupid people who don't know she's really dawn. I have a feeling you are stalking me. Are you? You seem hell-bent on deleting all my contributions to English Wikipedia that you can make a specious argument for deleting. Sorry to say, I feel beleaguered by your attention. Both Agnieszka's Dowry (after its recent fix-up and re-sourcing) and this BLP (the world cultural significance, as documented by worldwide front-page coverage) are notable, well-sourced, well-written, complete articles of Wikipedia, certainly not its dreck that you seem oblivious to in your deletionist efforts, and your efforts to prove otherwise are just driving a huge personal rift between me and you, and I think that is most regrettable, as we have common aims to improve WMF projects, I would imagine. --Mareklug ^talk 07:31, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

• Hello Mareklug, a couple of comments: First, and most strangely, FreeDictionay is not... free. At least not in the free-to-use way that Wikipedia is. They specifically state here:[1] that they contain copyrighted material, and that such content may not be re-used. Also, it appears that they got this content from militaryterms.net, judging by the copyright dates of the 2 pages. So if you could, can you re-write the "Landing area may be" section in your own words, just to clear out any lingering copyright concerns? Thanks for your contributions! Is it not sufficienty rewritten already? Please compare the two in the article's present phrasing state. Just to let you know, I think my style of review is a bit more colloquial than MILHIST is normally used to (and as I noted I wasn't expecting for my comments to be part of an A class review!). If you see comments I've left that end in question marks, feel free to just answer them rather than taking as an implicit sign that the text is insufficient. Sometimes changing the article to obviate the question is a great response, other times you might find that it is easier to say "yes that thing you asked is true" at which point I'll either say "ok, great" or explain why I was confused and offer a thought on the article iff needed.

Thanks for working on this article. It's a great resource. I used to work at pearl harbor and that giant radar station def. blocked my view of the water for quite a while--it's good to see ford island get a detailed treatment in the encyclopedia. Protonk (talk) 02:47, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
