Simon Foster (born 1961) is a British Labour Party politician, and the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner since May 2021.

Foster was elected Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in May 2021, and re-elected in May 2024.

With a career spanning 44 years in the legal field, Foster practiced as a legal aid solicitor for 35 years, including 22 years as a partner in a law firm.

Residing in the West Midlands region for 35 years, Foster has deeply embedded himself in its community fabric, both personally and professionally. Throughout his legal career, he served at a Community Law Centre.

During his tenure as a partner in a law firm, specializing in legal aid, Foster focused on Housing and Public Law, focusing on the rights of individuals facing eviction, enduring substandard housing conditions, and experiencing homelessness.

Personal life[edit]

With a longstanding connection to the West Midlands spanning over 38 years, Foster has not only worked but also raised his family in the region. He is married, with three daughters.[1][2]
