Rollback

I would like to add another tool to my antivandalism toolbelt. I already use Twinkle and make a point to warn most if not vandals. This has resulted in a lower reoccurrence rate and helps the wiki. I will use the tool to assist in these efforts. Kingsmasher678 (talk) 16:13, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done I noticed you started actively reverting vandalism about 2 weeks ago. While I appreciate your enthusiasm, I'd like to see you spend more time gaining experience fighting vandalism before assigning you advanced permissions. Keep up the good work, and consider reapplying in a month. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits (I recommend using tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet which makes this extremely easy). Thanks for the feedback, I’ll be back in a month or so!

Would streamline the editing process for reversion when combatting vandalism or unnecessary additions on a handful of articles, as it is currently a pain on mobile (my main platform) Editmakerer (talk) 19:22, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done I reviewed your contributions and found little to no recent anti-vandalism work. If you're still interested in this tool then please spend at least a month actively patrolling RecentChanges (Twinkle & Ultraviolet can help with that) before reapplying. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits. Thanks, Fastily 00:22, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Have been patrolling Recent Changes and fighting vandalism for some time now and I think that having one or more advanced anti vandalism tools would help a lot in this trajectory. Piscili (talk) 12:12, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Automated comment This user has 149 edits in the mainspace. MusikBot talk 19:00, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Please see the notice at the top of this page; with only 149 edits to the mainspace, I don't think you have the necessary editing experience for advanced permissions. Take a moment to check out CVUA, and if you decide you'd like to get involved, you can enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn more. Also, please ensure that you are consistently warning editors when you revert their edits (I recommend using tools such as Twinkle or Ultraviolet which makes this extremely easy). Thank you for the comment. But my edit counts in the mainspace already exceeded the 200 minimum edits to mainspace at the time you reviewed this request but the bot failed to update it accordingly. I have consistently warned editors when reverting edits but sometimes the warning template fails to load which I assume is due to my weak internet connection. And I have learnt to do manual warning when this happens. I request that you kindly take a moment and review my counter vandalism edits again. Thanks. Piscili (talk) 05:46, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, although I stand by my original decline. You've been actively editing for ~1 month, which IMO isn't enough time to adequately learn Wikipedia's many policies/guidelines/best practices. You need to ensure that you're notifying editors when you revert their edits. If you're on an unstable internet connection, then you need to slow down and take extra care to ensure that you are notifying editors; RecentChanges patrol isn't a race to see who can revert the most edits. Furthermore, I note that you've made exactly zero reports to AIV, which is an important stop for any serious counter-vandalism patroller. Please carefully review my feedback, implement it, and consider reapplying in a month if you are still interested. -Fastily 07:13, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Noted. Many thanks Piscili (talk) 07:46, 14 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
