Cyclops is the singular for a member of the Greco-mythical race of Clyclopes. The Cyclopes were a race of huge one-eyed monsters that resided on an island with the same name. Commonly, the term 'Cyclops' refers to a particular son of the Titan Poseidon named Polyphemus who was a Clyclopes.


Was first a member of The X-Men and then X Factor, his power was the ability to shoot force beams from his eyes. Unfortunately, he couldn't control these beams, so a special visor was developed to enable him to control his power.


His real name was Scott Summers and he had an on again/off-again love affair with Jean Gray.
