Héctor Martín Cantero (born September 9, 1990), alias marcan is a security hacker known for hacking the PlayStation 3 and the Wii, iPhone support for Linux and publishing the first open source driver for the Kinect.

Education

Hector went to the American School of Bilbao, where he received his primary and secondary education.

Career

He has been part of Team Twiizers, where he was responsible for reverse engineering and hacking the Wii.[1] He has been widely credited for creating the first open source driver for the Microsft Kinect.[2][3]

He has created the usbmuxd tool for synchronizing data from iPhone to Linux computers.[4]

In 2021, he created the Asahi Linux project which he has been leading since.[5]
