The company owns several commercially important strains and a large number of different patents for commercial usage of Lactobacillus reuteri. BioGaia gut and immune health products contain L. reuteri Protectis, the human L. reuteri strain. BioGaia Probiotics for oral health contain L. reuteri Prodentis, which is a blend of two L. reuteri strains. Probiotics containing L. reuteri are an effective treatment against infant colic, [4], diarrhea prevention and mitigation in children,[5][6] eradication of H. pylori infection,[7] amelioration of gingivitis,[8] [9] general illness prevention in children[10] and adults.[11]

The BioGaia -B share is listed on the NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange
