Acer pictum subsp. mono, commonly known as Painted Maple or Mono Maple in English[1], Kaeda Itaya (板屋楓) or Ezo Itaya in Japan[1], or 五角枫 (wu jiao feng) in China[2], is a species of maple.
Description
Acer pictum subsp. mono grows 15-20m tall and a trunk that is 60-100cm wide.[1] It's leaves have 5-7 lobes.[1][2]

Distribution
The tree is native to Japan, Korea, China, Mongolia, and the Russian Far East.[2][3]
