Achim Holub (born 1966 in Graz) is an Austrian conductor.
Biography
Achim Holub studied with Milan Horvat at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Graz, with Michael Gielen at Mozarteum University of Salzburg and Ferdinand Leitner at Accademia Musicale Chigiana. During the 1990s he worked as assistant conductor of the Berlin Philharmonic, NDR Symphony Orchestra and Vienna Philharmonic. In 2001 he founded the Graz Chamber Philharmonic.[1] Since 2010 Holub is chief conductor of the London Classical Soloists.[2] Moreover, he worked with John Eliot Gardiner and known soloists, such as the Austrian guitarist Johanna Beisteiner[3][4] or the British pianist Nick van Bloss.[5]
