Alea evangelii (game)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Alea evangelii ("Game of the Evangelists") is a member of the tafl family of games. Known from an eleventh-century Irish manuscript[1][2][3] (where it is given a Christian scriptural context),[4] it is played on a 19 by 19 inches (48 × 48 cm) game board (larger than that of most tafl games). It was featured in the first episode of Games Britannia.
