Alexander Dreymon (born February 7, 1983) is a European actor, best known for portraying Uhtred of Bebbanburg in BBC Two’s The Last Kingdom.[1]
Early life
Dreymon was born in Germany and grew up in various countries throughout Europe as well as the USA.[2] He studied in Paris, then trained for three years at Drama Centre London.
Career
Dreymon appeared on stage in London and Paris before making his screen debut in the British movie Christopher and His Kind alongside Doctor Who’s Matt Smith.[3]
He then worked on several Independent features in the US as well as portraying Luke Ramsey in American Horror Story's season three, Coven.
He is currently portraying Uhtred of Bebbanburg in BBC Two’s The Last Kingdom.[4]
Private Life
He is fluent in English, French and German.
