The desert plated lizard (Angolosaurus skoogi) is a reptile species endemic to the northern Namib Desert in Angola. Also known as the sand plated lizard,[1] it is diurnal.[2] Recent studies [3] suggest that this monotypic genus is paraphyletic with Gerrhosaurus.
