Art Linares is a Republican member of the Connecticut Senate, representing the 33rd District since 2013.[1]

Political History

Linares is the State Senator for the 33rd Senate District since 2013, representing the Connecticut River Valley in the Connecticut Senate, including the towns of Chester, Clinton, Colchester, Deep River, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Lyme, Old Saybrook (part), Portland, and Westbrook. He is the ranking Republican on the Planning and Development Committee.

Personal

Linares earned his B.S. in entrepreneurship from the Sykes College of Business at the University of Tampa in 2011. He co-founded Greenskies, Middletown-based, commercial solar energy company.

In 2010, Linares was a campaign volunteer for Marco Rubio.

Linares is engaged to a Democratic Representative in the CT General Assembly House of Representatives, Caroline Simmons of Stamford.
