Auerbach is a town in Upper Austria, Austria. Its length from north to south is 4.3 km and from east to west is 5 km. 33% of the land is forested while 60.6% is farmland.

Its coat of arms is made up with a blue over a silver twin wave with a swimming duck with a golden leg and a golden bill. The colors are green yellow and black.

Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1780 with the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (that time, the Innbaiern) joined Auenbach with Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars, it became Bavarian again until 1814 when it rejoined Upper Austria.
