Azor (Hebrew: אָזוֹר; Greek: Αζόρ, Azór), according to the biblical narrative, was the son of Eliakim (Matthew 1:13),[1] and the great-grandson of Zerubbabel; he was also a member of the Davidic line. He was also the father of Zadok (Matthew 1:14).[1]

Veneration

Azor is recognised as a saint by the Orthodox Church and celebrated during the Sunday of the Forefathers usually before Christmas (Between December 11–17).[citation needed] He is a Prince in the Line of Zerubbabel.[2]
