Benita Martínez Pastoriza de Sarmiento (1819 in San Juan, Argentina – 1890 in Buenos Aires, Argentina). Was Argentina's First Lady, second wife of Domingo Faustino Sarmiento and Domingo Fidel Sarmiento's mother. She was married to Domingo Castro y Calvo, before being married to President Sarmiento.
