The Blake and Knowles Steam Pump Company National Register District encompasses the historical industrial complex of the Blake and Knowles Steam Pump Company and its successor, the Worthington Pump and Machinery Corporation in East Cambridge, Massachusetts. It is located in a two block area surrounded by Third, Bent, Binney, and Fifth Streets; Rogers Street passes through the center of the district. The complex was begun in 1886; the Blake and Knowles Company began as a manufacturer of pumps for removing water from brickyard clay pits, and diversified over the years. The complex consists of several machine shops, including its main (200-foot (61 m)) shop, and originally extended west beyond Binney Street to Monroe, but those buildings have been demolished.[2]

The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.[1]
