Detective Conan: The Eleventh Striker (名探偵コナン 11人目のストライカー, Meitantei Conan: Jūichi-ninme no Sutoraikā) is the 16th film installment of the manga and anime series Detective Conan and is slated for release on April 14, 2012.[1] The plot follows Conan and his friends who must solve a riddle in order to disarm a bomb inside a soccer stadium.

Production

The film was officially revealed through the 52nd 2011 edition of Weekly Shōnen Sunday.[2] The official website was opened on November 26, 2011.[3] The film is a collaboration with the J. League Division 1 to commemorate its twentieth anniversary. As part of the collaboration, players from the J. League are set to voice original characters in the film.[3] On February 22, the theme song is revealed to be "Haru Uta" (ハルウタ, lit. "Spring Song") performed by Ikimono-gakari.[4] The crowd noise is a recording from the 2012 Japanese Super Cup.[5]
