West Sussex is an administrative and ceremonial county in Southern England. West Sussex County Council, the largest employer in the county, has its headquarters at County Hall, Chichester, and provides a great variety of services, including education, the fire service, social services, highways design and maintenance, town planning, libraries and trading standards. The county also has seven local government districts.
