The Radstadt Tauern is a sub-group of the Austrian Central Alps within the Eastern Alps. Together with the Schladming Tauern and the Rottenmann and Wölz Tauern, the Radstadt Tauern forms the major mountain range known as the Low Tauern. The mountain range lies in the east of the Austrian state of Salzburg between the upper reaches of the rivers Enns and Mur.

The boundary for the region is taken from the definition of the Central Alps and its subdivisions into individual mountain groups by the Alpine Club division of the Eastern Alps (AVE). It is thus bounded by a line running as follows: the Wagrainer Bach from where it enters the Salzach -- Wagrainer Höhe -- Litzlingbach to its confluence with the Enns -- Enns to Radstadt -- northern Taurachtal -- Obertauern -- southern Taurachtal -- Mauterndorf -- Neuseß -- Mur -- Murtörl -- Kreealpenbach -- Großarlbach to where it empties into the Salzach -- Salzach to its confluence with the Wagrainer Bach[1].
