Charlestown is an unincorporated community in York County, Nebraska, in the United States.[1]

History

A post office called Charleston (without the W) operated between 1888 and 1941.[2] In 1921, it was reported that Charleston (also without the W) was a depot on the railroad.[3]

Charlestown was named for Charles A. McCloud who was instrumental in bringing in the railroad to that point.[4]
