Chila de la Sal is a town and municipality in Puebla in south-eastern Mexico.[1]

Chila de la Sal is the birthplace of Joan Sebastian a decorated Latin singer; it is also the most profitable town. Its GDP brings in about one million US dollars per harvest. Its fertile soil and wet lands are not only its main source of income, their ties to American and European companies such as Starbucks and Mixteca allow the small Provence Chila de la Sal to be one of the fastest growing towns in southeastern Mexico
