Chris Ballard is an American football executive and Director of Player Personnel of the Kansas City Chiefs.[1]

Career

Prior to working for the Kansas City Chiefs, Ballard was a coach at Texas A&M University–Kingsville from 1994 to 2000, working under 2012 College Football Hall of Fame inductee Ron Harms. During his time with the Javelinas, Ballard helped mentor future NFL players Karl Williams, Al Harris and Jermaine Mayberry. Ballard also spent 12 seasons with the Chicago Bears personnel department, first as a Southwest Area Scout (2001-11) and then as the Director of Pro Scouting (2012).[2][3]

Personal Life

Ballard played four years of collegiate football at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1993. After suffering multiple knee injuries, Ballard served as a student assistant for his senior year. Ballard and his wife, Kristin have 5 children.[4]
