Chlothar (Latin Chlotharius; French Clotaire) is a Germanic given name, which evolved into the later form Lothair (Lotharius). It is a combination of the words hlut = loud and heri = army, warrior.
It can refer to the following kings of the Franks:

- Chlothar II (584–629)
- Chlothar III (652–673)
