Comté is a French word that can refer to:

  • The territory ruled by a count (comte) in medieval France (also known in English as a county or, rarely, as a countship, when referring to French land, or earldom, when referring to English land)
  • Comté (cheese), a famous French cheese from Franche-Comté
  • La Comté, a commune in the Pas-de-Calais département of France.
  • la Comté, the French translation of "The Shire" in J.R.R. Tolkien's fictional Middle-earth
