Daniel Connell (comedian)

Daniel Connell is an Australian comedian.

Connell grew up in Batemans Bay, on the New South Wales south coast.[1] He started his comedy career in Canberra[2] before moving to Melbourne in 2010.[3]

Connell's style of stand up comedy has been described as "effortless"[4] and "laconic".[5] Reviewers have described him having an "easy charm"[6] and having "mastered the art of dry observational humour."[7]

Comedy festivals[edit]

Connell made his debut on the comedy festival scene in 2011.[8] Connell has performed at 11 consecutive Melbourne International Comedy Festivals,[9] as well as Edinburgh Fringe,[10] Adelaide Fringe, Sydney Comedy Festival, Perth Fringe World, and Canberra Comedy Festival.

Connell has made a number of television appearances, including on the ABC in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, Opening Night Comedy All Stars Supershow and Comedy Up Late. He has acted in various roles in Kinne Tonight (Network 10 2019) and appeared live on The Project (Network 10 2023[11]).
