David Lyons (born 16 April 1976) is an Australian actor. He is best known for his role on the Australian drama series Sea Patrol, in which he played the Leading Seaman Josh Holiday.

Lyons was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Lyons graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 2004.

Lyons held a short recurring guest role on Blue Heelers as well as a guest role on Neighbours.

On 10 April 2008, Lyons began a regular role as Dr. Simon Brenner in the Emmy Award-winning drama ER, starting in season 14: episode 14 called "Owner of a Broken Heart" although credited as a special guest star. Starting in the premiere of the show's 15th and final season called "Life After Death", Lyons was added to the main cast. Lyons played this role until the show ended with its two-hour series finale called "And in the End..." that aired on 2 April 2009.

In 2010, he appeared in Eat Pray Love alongside Julia Roberts.[1]

Lyons also starred in the made-for-television movie A Model Daughter: The Killing of Caroline Byrne, and in NBC's The Cape.[2]
