"Demons" is the 96th episode of Star Trek: Enterprise, the 20th episode of the fourth season.

[edit] Plot

A xenophobic faction of humanity known as Terra Prime creates a Vulcan-Human hybrid child from Enterprise's Commander Tucker's and Sub-commander T'Pol's DNA. The organization, led by John Frederick Paxton (Peter Weller), is dedicated to repelling all non-human species from Earth and out of Earth's solar system. The group takes over a comet-deflecting array on Mars in order to undermine talks on Earth trying to form a new coalition of planets.

Enterprise is back on Earth where the crew visits a conference led by minister Nathan Samuels. Humans, Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites, Denobulans, Rigelians, and Coridanites are discussing the formation of an alliance. Suddenly a woman bumps into T'Pol, telling her to prevent the death of somebody. She hands her a vial with a hair before dying of phase pistol wounds. Dr. Phlox finds out the hair belongs to a child of Tucker and T'Pol, but T'Pol claims never to have been pregnant. Captain Archer asks Samuels about the investigation, but senses he is withholding something. He orders Security Chief Lt. Reed to contact Harris[who?]. Harris tells him the woman, Susan Khouri, was a member of a xenophobic organization calling itself Terra Prime. Meanwhile Ensign Mayweather meets an old friend, reporter Gannet Brooks. She wants to restart the relationship they had had once before.

The story is continued in the next episode, "Terra Prime."
