From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nutrition Security is the economic, social, and physical access at all times, by all people (everywhere), to safe, nutritious, and adequate food, in order to support a healthy and active life.[1][2] While similar and complimentary to food security, nutrition security focuses more on the health aspect of food and calls for access to food that is not only culturally relevant, but also promotes health and well-being while preventing (and treating) diet-related disease.[3]
